Tomáš Búry (Counsel at Allen & Overy)

Tomáš specializes in mergers and acquisitions and corporate law. He provides advice on several cross-border and domestic M&A transactions, joint ventures, venture capital investments and private equity/fund structures. Tomáš has considerable experience with transactions in the TMT/technology, energy, financial institutions, retail and real estate sectors. Tomáš also worked in the London office of Allen & Overy, where he expanded his experience in the field of international M&A and joint ventures.

Roman Čmelík (Managing Partner at Limerock Fund Manager)

Roman first studied mechanical engineering, then journalism, and at the beginning of his career he worked as a sports reporter. He has now been in the investment world for 24 years. After the beginnings connected mainly with transaction consulting and corporate finance, he was responsible for leading investment banking teams and also started to be on the other side of transactions - as a manager of investment funds. He co-founded Limerock in 2011 and has been active in venture capital since 2014. Roman is a graduate of the Bryce Harlow Institute for Business and Government Affairs at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C.

Miroslav Marcinčin (Tax Manager at VGD Slovakia)

He works as the director of the tax department of VGD Slovakia. He has been engaged in tax consulting since 2004 and since 2009 he is a licensed tax consultant of the Slovak Chamber of Tax Consultants (SKDP). During his professional career, he also focused on the taxation of natural persons and, in that connection, compensation plans based on the value of companies such as employee option plans and related forms of compensation. Since 2016, he has been active in the management and supervisory bodies of SKDP, he is a member of several professional commissions of SKDP, manager of the Methodological-Legislative Commission for Personal Income Tax, head of the SKDP Commission for Professional Affairs and member of the Commission for Professional Affairs of the European organization associating CFE tax advisors. Profil Wezeo:

WEZEO is a hybrid software studio and organization builder focused on innovative companies, startups and non-profit organizations. We build organizations from the inside either as a technology partner (finax.eu), through direct equity participation (hemisfera.sk, skyro.ai) or as part of the executive team (openlab.sk, vacatuner.com). We are also a co-founder of the venture builder WARPER with a resource-intensive approach, the goal of which is to structure a startup for the entry of a VC fund. We focus on strategic investments in FinTech, TravelTech and EduTech.

Grigor Ayrumyan​ (CEO at Wezeo)

His family settled in Slovakia with a vision of a better life when he was still 5 years old after emigrating from Armenia. He founded his first company during high school. He currently leads the software studio WEZEO as CEO, which is transforming into an Organization builder. He is a serial entrepreneur and partner in several organizations such as OpenLab.sk, Hemisfera.sk, Skyro.ai, warper, vacatuner.com, etc. He actively deals with technological topics and education in the podcasts Moderná firma and Moderná škola, which are among the most listened-to business podcasts in Slovakia.

Tomáš Demo (Co-Founder and CEO at Highgate Law & Tax)

Tomáš Demo worked for 5 years in the branch of the international law firm Allen & Overy in Bratislava, where he mainly dealt with cross-border M&A transactions, corporate law and litigation agenda. Tomáš is a co-founder and partner of Highgate Law & Tax, where he primarily focuses on venture capital and M&A transactions, corporate law and fund and collective investment regulation. During his consulting practice, Tomáš advised investors or founders in more than 40 venture capital investments.

Miroslav Tabernaus (Investment Manager at ESPIRA Investments)

A native of Žiar nad Hronom, after graduating from the University of Economics in Prague, he started his career in the consulting company Roland Berger Strategy Consultants, in the financial department of the non-profit organization People in Need, in the investment family office focused on distressed assets NATLAND Group, for the global manager of private equity funds Advent International and is currently an investment manager for the private equity fund ESPIRA.

Jaroslav Lupták (Investment Manager at Neulogy Ventures)

Jaro is the Managing Partner and co-founder of Neulogy Ventures, an early-stage venture capital fund focusing on cleantech, medtech, SaaS and digital media. He has been working with early-stage tech companies for over ten years. Jaro is one of the founders of the Future Now Conference and StartupAwards.SK, which accelerated over 250 Slovak startups. Jaro has a degree in Management and Finance from the Rotterdam School of Management.

Andrej Petrus (Investment Manager at ZAKA Ventures)

Andrej is the Chief investment officer at ZAKA VC - a venture capital office operating from Prague, which invests in pre-seed and seed stage start-ups within the EU with a primary focus on CEE, Baltic, DACH and UK with 27 investments in the portfolio. Previous experience in venture building for CEAi and M&A and Strategy consulting for PwC. Originally from Bratislava, lives in Prague. He studied and lived in Berlin and Rome.

Tomáš Bel (Co-founder and partner at Vision Ventures)

Tomáš is an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of 2010 in Slovakia. He is also a serial entrepreneur with many successful projects. Recently, he has been working on technology and digital innovation. He completed several studies stays abroad, such as at Harvard Business School, or study stays in investment and corporate finance at London Business School. He is a partner at Vision Ventures, which is a seed investment fund based in Bratislava, focusing on Slovakia and CEE region.
